Top Brass Salsa Fest is inspired by salsa’s explosion in the New York scene from the 1950’s – 1970’s. The festival brings back some of the living legends of that time, honoring and celebrating the rich history as well as bringing contemporary musicians that derived from their influence.
The festival caters to both people who like salsa music and salsa dancing, by creating a space where you can accommodate both: you have the option of purchasing a seated ticket, or you can get up and dance if you want.
Wayfinding for the festival included a welcome banner, pole banners, line-up banners, directional signs and a pathway painted with the festival shapes from the Park St. MBTA train stop leading to the entrance of the salsa festival in the Boston Common.
Engagement with the brand is furthered through wristbands, t-shirts and an instagram filter for you to use while the festival is happening.
